CHITRAVALI

DANCE IN MINIATURE PAINTINGS

Miniature paintings of India depict the life of Krishna through vivid and colourful images. Well-known Bharatanatyam exponent Rama Vaidyanathan explores dance movements in these paintings and combines them with Sanskrit verses, Hindustani music and her own wonderful dancing to tell the story of Krishnamaya. This superb event, CHITRAVALI, is brought to Montreal with the help of the High Commission of India in Ottawa.
